If "A" primary school and "B" primary school have 50% student can enter Band 1 sec school respectively and 30% of those 50% can enter the Band 1A sec school. (let say 50 students can enter band 1 and 30 of those 50 students can enter band 1A for both school respectively.)
and the split of boys and girl entering Band 1A in "A" school and "B" school are different.
"A" school: 20 Boys and 10 Girls to band 1A
"B" school: 10 Boys and 20 Girls to band 1A.
Assume there are only 50 band 1A secondary school places for that district for Boys, but
100 band 1A places for that district for Girls.
Can I say "A" school ranks higher/ better as more boys than girl can be allocated to Band 1A school? (although the band 1A % of student are the same for both school. As it is more difficult for boys in that district to enter Band 1A school)
