BTW, does your son have homework ?  My son's class 好"hea", 到了考試都不知點名算好!

我好想知道SPC的會考成績,但都不知道從那裏可以找到,你們知道嗎?其他學校都一早發佈出來。

我都好想知道呀！學校網又找不到任何資料？？不過我在某網站看到一個消息：今屆SPC有一對孖仔，雙雙在會考摘下8A1B佳績，但好可惜他們放棄了母校SPC，轉讀莊啟程預科書院。

thanks so much for your advice.  You know, my son never worries about his academic but only reading his story books and spend time watching TV.

You have done better than me. Reading story books is very good, in most of the time, I only share comic books with my boy.

It is no doubt that Yr 08-09 was not a fruitful year for SPC's academic results.  It could be partly blamed to the not well prepared changes from subsidized school to DSS dating back to 2003.  However, the Yr 09-10 results did improve a lot.  Also, it is an on-going challenge to the school in how to balance the parent's demand of  good academic results & development of the boys' mind and body.  

As a parent of student in the current F2 year, I am content with what the school is offering and I have no reservation to recommend the school.

I would suggest to parents taking sometime to read the Principal's messages, especially the one about marks in early Sept.

I totally agree with you.  I think the SPC really provides a good environment.  I observe that my son has already undergone changes, he participates a lot during the English lessons, he speaks in English even at home.  He concerns whether the choir has accepted him and reading notices by himself except that he still holds a very hea attitude on his academic.
FYI, one of my friends' boy is in the F.2 elite class of a top top Band 1 boys' school and they are doing the English A-level paper in their english lessons.  As a result, most of the students in this school go to at least 5 tutorials (2 for english, 2 for maths, 1 for chinese) a week, busy doing not the homework at school, but the homework of the tutorials.  Isn't that healthy ?
However, most of the parents in HK welcome and are proud of this kind of education system of this school.  Isn't it sad ?

Brand management is never an easy task for any organization.  

Regarding doing past papers, I was told that top student of co-ed will start to encourage their F3 students to do HKCEE past papers and A levels' in Form 4.  

As a hea parent, I am happy that my boy is spending his weekend in school joining uniform activities rather than past papers drilling.  That can be waited until F4.

All homeworks, quizes, tests,projects are marked and being calculated towards the 10-15% of the final grade. You should get a notice from the School saying 'Assessment Policy'. On that policy, it states clearly how the marks from each subject is to be counted towards the final grade.

BTW, this is what the twins said about leaving SPC: 放棄母校聖保羅書院，轉讀莊啟程預科書院，兩人感到不捨。細孖認為，聖保羅書院是綜合型中學，需要參與較多活動，「但我們不想參與太多活動，我們想專心讀書，應付高考課程」。http://www.hkexam.com/modules/secondary/index.php?pa=viewads&lid=946

學校真係好多活動可以參加，我都怕太多活動會影响學業，
暫時都係同阿仔維持住外面嘅一體一樂器，
加學校樂團。
你哋囝囝多唔多活動呀?
