I thought you have done your research well! There are more than a handful of local schools  use English as the medium of teaching !

I know a student from SIS quite well and she is now where near local school level.  

May be just one bad example.

樓主需要諗清楚佢小孩將来的路點行，佢宜家所謂native level 的英文並不代表足以應付將来的需要，國際學校所教的英文並不只是講幾隻英文字及寫幾句句子，况且香港最好的中文學校亦同大陸的冇得比，我地唔加强我地的優勢而用我地弱點同人地竞争？我亦認識甚多的isf家長yr5、6都趕住轉校，因為最终覺得浪费太多無謂時間在中文上，英文追不上。

Honestly, how should we define Native English speaker? Should it be defined based on grammatical level?

Native English Speaker concerns only Speaking and Listening.  Illiterate people, people never went to school, can also speak and listen to native level.  Not just grammatically correct, but also the choice of words, the intonation, slangs, idioms, etc.  

Reading and Writing on the other hand have to be learned at school.

My point was, even if this topic owner child is native speaking now, if he or she goes to a local school, their reading and writing will be at a second language level, quite a distance away from educated people from the West could do.

There may be an exception if the topic owner child is a mix. English may be his/her first language at home so the topic owner is now looking for a school which is good at Chinese.

No, reading and writing at a high level needs to come from the school, I am almost certain.   A English mother or father will mean the child can maintain a native speaking and listening ability.   But if the child is taught the local Hk English curriculum including reading and writing, he or she will become a local reading and writing second language level, I will bet.

Why am I almost certain?Just look at Chinese in the US or UK, in HK families and the parents speak Cantonese at home to the children in England or New York.  The children can usually speak Cantonese but they are almost always terrible in reading and writing Chinese.   See my point?

Han Academy is in an old industrial building in Wong Chuk Hang.    Although the building has been refurbished around 2 years ago, it is still an old building.   The surrounding area is really no good.   It is right next to a main road.   I feel sorry to those kids going to this school.

不是指國籍，我聽到有些人的評論是指耀中著重收錢，教學就…之所以成績好其實是家長在背後發功。當然這只是聽聞，不知是真是假，我個人並不是用家
