我估又未必，身邊好多本身支持本地教育嘅中産家長, 因為社會環境影響，紛紛跳船想入IS. 佢地本身又未有錢到可以投資移民，又或工作離不開香港。所以未來呢一兩年esf k1競爭可能會幾大。

Yes, this should be a new policy implemented this year, as ESF is worried that with increasing number of local applicants, it cannot maintain 70% foreign passport ratios across all ESF schools.

No.

1. Such statement has been on Esf website for long. I don’t think it is something new

2. I doubt if 70% 30% rule applies to Esf, as strict foreign passport rule only applies on new schools which got the land from the government for their premises. Such as fis in tko, Shrewsbury, ashk, Malvern, Stamford. For ESF with such a history, I don’t think the government will influence or take any action to them

3. I will suggest you to attend their admission talk and ask them explicitly

In Esf, the nomination right is limited to small quota, every school has a limit. Previously, 150 quota for all schools all forms across with capping per school. In short, it is not wise decision to spend that money for kindergarten. It was not too oversubscribed for wks, Tsing Yi ,Tung Chung and cwb. Hillside I heard different story.

你指2019入讀k1巳經可以直上中學? 我以為他們這批2019 k1 只是internal assessment ,guarantee上小學, 但中學要重新apply and interview??

Guaranteed place for Y7 but an allocation exercise is still in force. Same as current practice.

Mind you that ESF has actually sent emails three times to current parents of ESF schools (Primary and through-train IB schools as far as I heard), reminding them that after implementation of "through-train education" this year, their younger siblings may not be guaranteed a place at ESF schools if they do not study at ESF kindergartens. They strongly suggest the parents to enrol their younger kids into an ESF kindergarten. And indeed these kids also enjoy priority at kindergarten admissions. So I guess for KGs other than TC and Abacus, the competition should be very keen.
