Basically, you have 2 options:-
1. Apply HKID + 特區護照; (just as Sara-mama)or
2. Apply 回港証 (as suggested by謙謙)
You need either 1) or 2) before you can apply the 回鄉証 at 中旅社. Option 1) takes longer and is a bit more expensive but a lot of people would go for it because they can bring their children overseas with the 特區護照. However, if you need to travel within a short period of time, Option 2) should serve the purpose. As for Daniel, since he holds an Australian passport, I can't foresee the need of a second passport in the near future. I therefore picked Option 2). For your information, Option 1) takes about a month before the documents are ready for collection and 回鄉証 will take another 14 working days.
