另外,我記得上次家長會梁老師講過話見家長個陣每人得5分鐘,多數唔夠時間詳細傾,所以有d物嘢特別可以之前over the phone傾左先,咁我又見佢一直都無打比我,所以我昨日就打左電話比佢,over the phone 都傾左 15分鐘,所以如果有d物嘢你係特別想同老師討論既,我諗你地都可以好似我錦打左電話比佢先,免得家長日唔夠時間講!

今朝早我返左工之後打電話問公公書包內重有冇相片，佢話冇(我昨日冇睇書包)。根住我問凱喬張相是否已比卓妍，佢話佢想將張相比第二個小朋友。

其實我打比佢個陣,佢都有講話應該係佢打比每個家長約時間係電話傾,不過佢太忙未約得切,咁啱我打去就傾左先!我又係見佢無打黎咪主動自己打去囉! :

不過其實我同佢都係分享吓卓妍d生活片段,無物傾過d物嘢特別嘢,佢就話卓妍overall ok!

謝謝你！或者我都等家長會先傾吧，因都唔得閒！我上次去完布吉後，梁老師最近都打了2次電話比我，跟進旼希的情況和在校表現，so far他都OK和好開心，故我都好放心！

以我上年經驗...我地呢d 姓 "Y" 嘅家長....排最尾...話就話 11:00-11:30am....不過睇怕冇 12noon 都唔會到我喇...你都係唔駛太早去喇..唔係到時課室門口實唔夠 chairs 比你坐 je...(only about 4 chairs 咁上下架咋...) 要罰企就慘咯    ...一係你自己帶定張 chair 同 magazine la....因為以我上年所見....培幼d家長好鬼文靜架...大家就算好似"輪街症"咁坐哂響門口都冇乜偈傾架...好神奇... :cry:  :cry:

在幼稚園 level 嚟講....依家每星期有一堂半小時英文課, 由外籍老師教授...教嘅係 phonics.... K2 開始會寫 A-Z...每星期都有幾張英文散頁習作另有英文寫字簿...

你問我 the level of English in PC...well..I would say of course it is not as "competitive" as other typical English KGs...但基本嘅一定做齊, 以我聽其他小學媽媽講, 無可否認,  PC 並無"特別"注重英文.....唔同其他學校, 好專注小朋友英文(e.g. 乜都用英文教, PC only use English to teach English subject, not other subjects)

在我嚟講, I don't really mind becos 若間學校係好...只係英文一科唔太足夠並非冇得補救, 所以依家我 every Sat 會 send my boy to YMCA to learn English...so I think that's not a big problem to me...in fact I want my boy to learn more Chinese 添~~     So it all depends on what sorts of learning outcome you want your kid to achieve la...    

For me...as long as my boy could understand and communicate in English with confidence, that would be good enough.... I don't need him to know a lot of difficult English words ar...and I believe that PC could achieve this as well~~~   

再者...我選校會較注重學生整體成績 - "平均"對我嚟講已經係好好...我唔會特別要求我仔仔某科要特別好...以上是個人選擇...謹供各位參考之用~~

得你提醒,我剛走去教統局及立人網頁攪清楚這個結龍問題.

大前題是這個教改制度在我蛇蛇升中時仍然不變,

1. 若培正中學在2012年5月31日限期前,決定結龍.培正中學變直資.到時就肯定能升培中.不過要交學費.

2.若培正中學在2012年5月31日限期前,決定不結龍,2019年9月升中時, 按當時的升中收生機制收取中一學生,就解除直屬關係.即在2010年9月入讀培幼K1的小朋友就被影響.在這之前入讀培幼K1的小朋友就跟你囡囡情況一樣,有85%能升培中.(assumption: 冇留過班)

Really many many thanks.

As usual, you are so kind in answering questions raised by those parents interested in PC, including me.  Your info above (and that supplied under another topic) is really very useful.

Actually, I quite like PC as I am a supporter of teaching in mother language and PC has been adopting this approach out of its own volition for many many years and, unlike other schools, is not "forced" by EMB to use mother language in teaching.  This really makes much difference.

I will also arrange my son to attend funny English class in due course in order to brush up his English.

One more question : Does PC (at whatever level) teach putonghua as well?  Thanks.

Glad to know that many PC parents are so helpful.

No....PC will only offer Putonghua to primary schools students...not KG students...

Hee...But I am also sending my boy to Putonghua course in YMCA now...well....I send him there simply because I wish to stimulate his interest in languages, I do not have any immediate expectation that he could be able to communicate in Putonghua quickly ar....

You "work" really hard.

My son has attended K1 class for nearly 5 months and learns English, Chinese and Putonghua every week.  If he studies K1 in PC this September, I may have to arrange him to attend Putonghua and English courses outside as well.  But it all depends.

It is the most important thing that he does enjoy his school life at least during his times with kindergarten.

Well...for sure your kid won't feel any pressure at this moment...as far as I know...starting from K1 to P2...PC uses activity-based approach in teaching...then back to traditional approach starting from P3..so somehow we may need to help them quite a lot to get through this transition period~~
