The Wycombe Abbey community joins our Upper Sixth Clarence girls in celebrating their A level examination results. This year 41% of all examinations taken were awarded an A* and 76.2% A*/A. The girls have secured places at a range of excellent universities in the UK and overseas.

Benenden’s Headmistress Rachel Bailey praised students’ “outstanding” and “thoroughly deserved” achievements after 33 per cent of all results were awarded the top grade of A* – up from 28 per cent last year.
Overall, in today’s results an incredible 70 per cent of all Benenden’s grades were at A* or A and 88 per cent were at A*-B.

Our GCSE candidates secured 69% Grade 9s, 86% Grade 9-8s, and 94% Grade 9-7s. These outstanding results include an impressive 23% achieving straight Grade 9s, 31% achieving ten Grade 9s, nearly 40% achieving nine Grades 9s, and 52% achieving a full set of Grades 9-8.
Our Upper Sixth candidates achieved 30% A*s, 63% A*-As, and 85% A*-Bs. An outstanding 42% of the cohort achieved a full set of A or A* grades, with 50% also celebrating an A or A* in the Extended Project Qualification.

Our Sixth Formers achieve impressive results. In 2025, 62% of A Levels were graded A*-A and 83% at A*-B, with Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) results particularly strong – 83% at A*-A.

Pupils at Cheltenham Ladies’ College are celebrating exceptional A Level results today, with A* grades making up around a third (35%) of grades.
The A Level Class of 2025 has secured places at top universities across the UK, including Bath, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Durham, Exeter, Liverpool, LSE, Manchester, Newcastle, Oxford, UCL, and Warwick, as well as the Goldman Sachs Degree Apprenticeship programme. Over half of the cohort (56%) secured three or four straight A*/A grades.
