本人兒子今年5歲在美國俄勒崗州出生我想在美國申請定居請問有沒有人曾經有個經驗呢

甘即系你個仔已經系美國 citizen? 甘你系咩身份呢? 系拿 visa? Greencard, 定咩呢 ?

你系美國工作簽証定旅游簽証?
你個仔應該系好細個 ﹐  應該未夠資格可以申請父母過去。
你兒子去美國讀書應該系無問題﹐  但你自己可能未可以申請到綠卡。
一般黎講 ﹐  申請綠卡系最後一步
如果你想系美國工作 ﹐  而又未有綠卡 ﹐  你要先有 working visa, 然後再睇下公司會吾會幫你申請 greencard.
如果你只想靠兒子系公民既關係﹐  我覺得吾得既機會多 D。

EligibilityIn order for a relative to sponsor you to immigrate to the United States, they must meet the following criteria:

They must be a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the U.S. and be able to provide documentation providing that status.
They must prove that they can support you at 125% above the mandated poverty line, by filling out an Affidavit of Support

如果你兒子未有工作能力﹐ 似乎系吾夠資格。

If the sponsor is a U.S. Citizen, they may petition for the following foreign national relatives to immigrate to the U.S:
- Husband or wife
- Unmarried child under 21 years of age
- Unmarried son or daughter over 21
- Married son or daughter of any age
- Brother or sister, if the sponsor is at least 21 years old, or
- Parent, if the sponsor is at least 21 years old.

所以如果你看最後一行﹐  就系如果申請父母﹐  仔女要起碼 21 years old.

我相信你可以用探望兒子既理由黎美國﹐  但只會系旅行簽証﹐  即你不可以在這邊工作。 (當然如果呢邊有公司幫你申請工作簽証然後申請你過去美國又吾同講法 )

所以你應該系吾可以到美國就話要申請綠卡。

另外 ﹐  如果你吾系呢邊工作 ﹐  你要查清楚你兒子是否可以享用公立學校﹐ 較便宜的學費。我知道大學系吾得 ﹐  我吾清楚小學。幼稚園好似系公立私立一樣價錢﹐  所以無咩分別。

as 大豬媽都提及, 你未qualify apply Green card (if 你個仔只係得幾歲).
但佢係citizen, 有權喺出生州份合法得到教育福利..

UK 就真系吾知窩
不過我會甘睇﹐ 我覺得一般國家都吾會話你系距度生左個仔就可以比埋你有居留權。
我純以 logic 推斷 lor. 如果系個邊生左個﹐ 然後就話因為個小朋友系 citizen 就自己都有埋居留權 ﹐ 我覺得呢個世界吾甘著數既事。如果系甘 ﹐ 甘個 D 非法移民就吾洗甘煩拉 ﹐ 求其生返個甘就已經有居留權 ﹐ 洗咩做黑市。

個細路在美國出生，個細路就立即是美國籍，只要當日孕婦持有效旅遊visa能蓋著個大肚入到境，不理父母是何國籍的。我大把朋友是如此去美國生仔的，細路回香港仲每月有奶粉錢寄來香港。

英國唔同，要父或母有正式英國籍，個細路當地才有英國籍，否則不能拿到英國籍。

至於美國個細路是美籍，但要等21歲才可申請父母去美國團聚，排大隊等十幾二十年罷。細路幾歲去讀書，母親是可以申請陪太子讀書簽證的，不能做工，也要看美國領事批唔批。

Therefore so many HK people go to US to give birth. But isn't it the fact that only residents in the US are entitled to milk money? For Canada and Australia, and even HK, only residents can enjoy govt benefit.

Hi Bessy,

I think you have to wait until your son is eligible to submit application, which is 21 years old. US is very strict since 911. So hard to obtain visa. Investment is almost out of the question.
