I haven't got any interview chance from SJS ah. Still very down on their waiting list. I was the first to hand in the application to BHS (I was living in Kowloon Tong at that time) on Sept 17, but seems no use. The priority is given to siblings, foreigners, foreign passports and ESF Kindy.

Anyway, I'll take Phoenix, won't wait for SJS lu.

I am trying to figure out which schools have a better chance to gain an interview from ESF.

On the other hand, I read from the website of Phoenix.  The new school in Ma On Shan will be opened next year, however, the school tuition will be around $65000 per year.  In compare with the tuition of other ESF, it is much expensive.  That the reason I would try to send my daughter to ESF instead of Phoenix.  Even though, I like the IB program in Phoenix.  

My friend's kid is studying in Phoenix, he said the tuition of the new school will be the same for them.  they only raise the tuition for the new students.  So if our kids can enroll to phoenix in cheung sha wan now, I guess we can pay less.  Am I right???

Yes, I also saw that new tuition fee from Phoenix website. But, I think if you justify that for Phoenix, you don't need to give your child extra Chinese lesson, then the expense is not really that much higher than other ESF schools.

I don't know that there's a difference of fee for 'old' vs 'new' students. I think it does not make sense. If the $$ is for the new campus, then both 'new' and 'old' students are enjoying it and should pay for it. Anyway, I'm ready to pay it as long as I take Phoenix. I hope the $$ will be justified by their quality.

Is Phoenix teach chinese in Mandarin? Thanks

They will teach Chinese in Cantonese in P.1, then in Mandarin starting from P.2. Then it's all in Mandarin. This is what I learned from the school in last school visit.
