You'll need to check with the schools when you can make an application and apply as early as possible. The waitlist for FIS is very long because French nationals have priority and so their kids who apply later than you will be ahead of you on the waiting list.  You may wish to join their kindergarten first for easier admission to their primary.  

Please note that CdnIS charges $1,500 for application whereas FIS (International Section) charges $500 and $3,600 for application and registration respectively.
