Any local passport Chinese kid (non-ESF kindy) was granted an interview for any ESF Primary in 2005 ?

or even accepted too ?

O, none as far as I know, except those from ESF Kindy.

My daughter was accepted by QBS last year.  We all hold local passports.  But we finally decided not to let her study there because we wanted her to learn more Chinese.

someone mentioned QBS is the most easier ESF school to enter, don't know if it is true

Their waiting list no. is under 50 at the moment.
Peak school always has places.

My daughter continued her K3 in St. Paul's Convent Kinder and will be promoted to St. Paul's Primary in September this year.  As far as I am aware, it is not very difficult to get admission to QBS.  But I know that a Japanese kid was not accepted by QBS last year.

Correct, they are really discriminating local kids unless they are kids of professors or directors.

This is not the end of the world, anyone want to know therir present situation can call the school office, they will tell you your position in the waiting list.  Not everyone in waiting list will join ESF, not everyone is good enough to be accepted.   If your children are good enough, keep up with your good work. Otherwise, hire private English tutor to polish up their English and wait.  The waiting time  may be an advantage to your children, you have more time to prepare, your children will become more mature for interview.

For us, we have no foreign passport.  I need to wait until X'mas, the P.1 class has started already.  For me, I was feeling quite comfortable while waiting. While my son was studying in K3, He has joined the Hong Kong Primary Allocation Scheme, and we have applied many local primary schools.   This is a good experience.  When you go through this process, you will know more about the choices available.  My son was accepted by 7 schools out of the 10 applied.  Why ? because he is fluent in spoken English like your children.  P.1 interview is just like playgroup, apply and have some fun.  Many DSSS or PIS use a similar approach as IS.  Some also offer IB in the future.  Cheer up.

SJS tell me my position is 56.

They say their waiting list is longer than

The position of my son's classmate in SJS joined after X'mas changed from 200 to 100 then accepted.  If you only prefer IS, your children may apply Hong LoK Yuen or ICS while waiting.

I don't know whether it was quick or slow, but one day your children will be called for interview.  Be it P.1, P.2 or even P.3, I don't know.  What I want to tell you all is "don't be depressed, while waiting you may find more alternatives."
