IGCSE Chinese - Cambridge or Edexcel

Regarding IGCSE Chinese, my kid would like to take it as private-learner...

However, HKEAA has told us that only Cambridge Chinese as First language is offered. and it's offered only once a year (which we have missed the application) The next would be May -June 2020.


So we are told there's Edexcel Chinese - (which is much easier)...


I would be grateful if you can advise us -


1. Any difference of recognition(認受性) between Cambridge Chinese(1st, 2nd or and foreign language) and Edexcel Chinese? Would the education institution as well as universities take consideration of which paper the applicant took? Or just the grades, regardless which paper, that matters?


2. Other than HKCEE, any other way a private learner can take Chinese (1st or 2nd language)? is the exam in autumn also available? Through which organization? Or where?

老師您好，有相關問題想請教。
去年英基中學 Cambridge IGCSE English as First Language 0509 講座，指出該科2020起將會轉制，Paper 1 section 3會加入Classical Chinese (12marks)
Candidates answer a series of questions about Passage 4, a previously unseen passage of Classical Chinese text. The passage will be taken from a short story or essay from the Ming dynasty and will be approximately 200 characters in length.

老師說由於該課程難度太高，學校決定不教該課程，Y10&11 中文language A 學生上學校特設課程，用4年時間（Y10-13)考IB 中文language A。學校可以代學生報考0509但不教亦不保証成績。

不知老師到此事有認識嗎？

老師您的原貼已刪，這是英基老師0509新版考試Paper 1 Section 3 Classical Chinese 古文試題的樣本（考生之前未讀過的），是老師之前所説的三四年級水平嗎？
