(NAIS and QBS) Information, advice, comment needed. Thanks!

Background information:-
- Kid is currently studying in Y2 at NAIS, going to Y3 in 2018/19
- Live in North Point
- Have a younger brother going to Y1 in 2019/20 (Y2 for ESF)
- Planned both kids to proceed upper secondary education in UK

Just received a call for interview invitation to Y4 for coming 2018/19. Apart from better location and cheaper tuition fee, I don't know much about QBS. Could anyone share some information and advice for me to consider if it is worth for the move? Thank you very much!

My boy used to go to QBS and he absolutely loves it. Apparently for years, it has the highest InCAS scores in Maths among all the ESF primary schools in HK. The Chinese level is higher that the other ESF primary as well as from Year 2 onwards, 5 lessons of Chinese per week while most other ESF would only have 4 classes/week.

Typically QBS has a waiting list of years. You are lucky that QBS invites your child for the interview.
Your child will still have government subvention for Year 4 in 18/19, as it is the last year of the subvention. The Year 1-3 school fee is 20% more when compared to the Year 4-6.

If I were you, would definitely go for interview. It is a very good school with great track record; plus you save money and travelling time than going to NAIS.

Also think about what secondary schools you want in the UK and what are their curriculum.

NAIS is UK National Curriculum > IBDP.

ESF is IB (PYP > MYP > DP).
