AIS vs ASHK - 國際學校

I am planning to go back to US in a few years’ time so I want my son to study in an international school with American curriculum. Now I am considering between AIS and ASHK. Which one is better?

We went on tours and had interviews at both AIS and ASHK, so I can share my impressions on these schools. AIS is on a major street near MTR but it’s surrounded by high walls and barbed wire so I don’t think I like the school environment. ASHK is in Tai Po. The air is fresh and less traffic, more space to run around. Their campus facilities are very new.

I prefer AIS as it’s more famous in HK, having around 30 years of history. ASHK is rather new.

I’m thinking to apply for American schools too. Do they both have traditional Chinese to learn? And do they offer IB program?

I consider ASHK as it has both traditional Chin and simplified Chin to learn. And they have three levels for different students.

AIS doesn't offer IB, they take AP.

Different levels of Chinese program are catered for students with different Chinese capability,
mainly in 3 levels - Foundation Level, Standard Level and Advanced Level

但我朋友個仔讀緊ASHK，聽講佢地中文課程都幾深，advancedlevel係用緊local 名校教材，返到屋企要睇書操中文

朋友覺得ASHK學術如何？聽說很happy，學的多不多，同學本地的多還是內地多啊

我個仔讀緊，我覺得學術都ok，校長響CDNIS 過嚟，所以要求都幾高，每年兩次整體評估，上次學校同我地分析報告，ashk 學生嘅學術水準比美國同年級學生嘅學術水準高，我個仔好鐘意返學，真happy school，依家佢一唔聽話，我話唔聽話唔俾返學，佢即刻乖乖
學校話唔會收多過20%內地學生，加上大部內地生都過唔到評估，所以香港學生多D

heard that ASHK has a nice environment and student to teacher ratio is very small
