Should be 2 classes in the morning and 2 classes in the afternoon no?

You are correct.  They told us the same when we had the school tour.

Btw, for those who got admitted, can you share some interview details to us now? Is your kid very fluent in English already?I heard that if your kids' English are native, the chance to get admitted is higher.Besides, they expect that you need to reply to the questions in full sentence, even for pre-reception, is it right?

my son didn't answer in full sentence in the interview, but single words or phrases only. the children are only 3 years old or younger by the time they have pre-reception interview. i guess the school only expect that they can communicate in English at a reasonable level.

Thanks balloonbula!  So what is the criteria in deciding who is in and who is out?  Really frustrated in so many interviews.  Every school should have its own standard and requirement.  ....  

Difficult be parents....

Just received a wait list offer for reception, how's the Chinese level like in CDNIS? hmmmm... struggling to decide

Oh congrats!
For Chinese level what I overheard is ard 2-3 grades below local school (they are usually one grade down the local school book but local school usually teach Chinese one year in advance).  they also divided students into different level for the Chinese class.  most of the Chinese kids go to the highest level Chinese class.  but most Chinese kids go to Chinese tutorial.

not too sure, but i think if someone not going to accept the offer, they will call for those candidate on wait list. you can ask whether your kid is on high pass list or average pass. previously my son was on high pass and now got offer for reception. good luck!

Thanks Jmachi.  Did u attend parents' interview?  

I am interested in SIS too.  Do u think the competition is as keen as CDNIS?

we didn't attend the parent interview for CDNIS. was just on the wait list, then they just call and offer a place without further parents interview. For SIS, I'm not too sure about whether it is more or less competitive than CDNIS. Perhaps, I think more applicants for CDNIS than SIS. This is just a guess. As more westerners and plus Asian will apply CDNIS, whereas only mainly Asian ppl will apply SIS?

to be honest, both of them have their pros and cons. Is really a tough choice. However, I think my son is not that academic strong, so maybe CDNIS fits him better. As CDNIS also emphasis on Arts and Sports. Also, in early years they don't have tests and exams, so can learn with his own pace.

Sorry for being perhaps a bit off topic- just wondering: if my little one doesn't have Canadian passport, does it mean the chance of getting an interview for pre reception is very low? Thanks in advance for any insights! Thinking whether I should still try or save the application fees.....

My son is not Canadian, we are HKSAR, we got interview and got accepted for reception (previously was on wait list after interview).
