Anyone knows if there are some good French
books/exercise for K3 kids to review at home.

I went to CAIS library and the librarian told me they don't have any French books or tape suitable for K3.

Some parents said there are some good French tape suitable for kids in Swindon (Lok Road, TST).  I will go there to have a look as my shop is very close by there.  Will let you know later.

There are some French books suitable for lower level in Swindon but no tape, VCD or DVD there.  I didn't buy as I want her to learn from listening.

Even though we got a book, we don't know how to teach the child.

Can someone tell me more specific the interview/test for Grade One admission ?

What task the kid needs to perform ?

Hi Vrindavan,

As far as I know, the interview should be done by the vice principal, a very nice lady, one to one.

It takes about 30 minutes, including vocabulary, numbers, general questions, etc.  As long as your kid speaks English, there should not be a big problem as they are interviewed under a very friendly environment.  Most of the kids are very happy when they come out.

My kid is very good at Eng conversion,
however, he is not good at recognising/spelling words.

I am worry if they include reading or writing in the test.

It is for Grade One level admission

There is a previous post by a parent saying something about the K3 curriculum/situation before,
but i cannot locate it again.

The post seems to related to the K3 English/academic level.

Or someone may write to me more what you find out now after a few months, reply here or PM me

For K3 admission, is it all in oral ?
need reading writting/math too ?

About Book Rental Fee:

Are all books have to return to school after academic year?

Any parents will likely opt to purchase books ?

Book rental means the student cannot lose/damage/writing on the books ?

About Camp Fee :
Is it used for cover the meals ?

Books are kept in school and to be used for several years so it is rent not purchased, some with exercises that did not finished will be returned to student after school year.

Basically, we dont need to pay any extra money for school functions, like camping, sports day, etc.  but sometimes we need to pay little transportation fee, like going to orchestra, we pay $11.

Hi LHMAMA,

I bought a set of French material at Swindon (TST branch).  The box set includes book, CD & dictionary, it cost HK$190.  Actually, you can also find it at Berlitz Language Centre as it is published by Berlitz.  You can call Swindon if they still have it or not.

Dear Vrindavan,

I bought it as a X'mas gift for my daughter, she will open it after Christmas, will let you know if it is worth to buy it or not.

As she is quite interest in French, this box set is just a supplement in her leisure time.

1) How many classes in G1?
2) The chance of getting into G1 from other international kindergarten K3, (not from CAIS K3)
