Just received the Oct circular from my daughter's kinder. It said that "Our children will know by the beginning of December whether they are being offered interviews or not in the first rounds. Foundation interviews are scheduled for January 2006."

Central Applications for Year 1, September 2006
Parents will be informed by the end of November whether or not their child
will be called for interview. Interviews will take place in January and
February.
Details about any changes to the school zones will be announced to affected
families at the same time.

hello, gab, my son is studying in esf sheung wan fr sept, he told me he is very happy in school, me and my husband is local hk ppls, we speak cantonese at home, but i put him to english playgroups and preschool really early, although he cannot speak fluent english, but he is very happy to go school, exspecially school bus, he look forward to go by sbus everyday. the school has a dairy, so if i have any problems i just drop a note to them, they will answer me. one thing i happy with school, he is more control and polite.

also, at first they reject us in june, and then we stay in the waiting list, finally they called us in mid of aug, so, i think everyone, if u like this school just send the application ( i aslo put a sets of cert that he attended). u don't know they may contact u anyday.

also, in pok fu lam wooland, the esf primary interview is take place in the kindergarten not in the primary school and there chance is 100%, that was told by the principal, cos i suppose to put my son there.

that's right at chi fu, call them and take a look of the school, very small school, not much local. by the way, ur son or girl will go esf right? then, i think u will like esf better, the place is much bigger, full of toys.
am or pm class. my son is pm class, all his schoolmates speak english except him. but i think is ok, he'll learn fr daily life.

BenDor: I've visited that Woodland Panda before. Real tiny. We have turned down ESF Sheung Wan's offer and my son is now studying happily at Starters.

that's good, happy is most important for them. also,
i've visit sunshine house in pok fu lam garden last week, i'll put my small one in there for playgroups. can i ask one questions? i want my son to learn chinese charactor and read in cantonese any good suggestions, i look though alot of language centre, they all provide mandarine. is the only way to hire somebody? cos, i don't think i could teach him in a fun way.
