Can anyone tell us they accept child at 5 or 6?  When you mention Chinese, apart fm Mandarin did they learn how to write as well?

A student does not need to understand Chinese for admission ??

my son said during the interview, they played playdoh(the breakfast set), the teacher asked my son what he would like for breakfast and my son said waffles and eggs please. Also there was a game called bang your head, my son couldn't explain exactly how to play that game, but he said he participated the game anyway and had fun while most other kids were just watching him playing.

He also said the teacher asked him to write his name on a paper. As my son still couldn't write at that time(his fine motor skill was weak), he simply told the teacher he just couldn't do it.

I think the most important thing is encourage your child to talk and participate during the interview, don't worry about full sentences or right grammar, in my opinion, any talk is better than no talk.

to the last on "interview list"

It is difficult to get a chance for interview

It may be easier to get an interview for some regions/school zones ?

who has the birth statistics of past few years ?

or is it because of sudden large influx of immigrants having kid of 5 years old ??

As I remember from statistics, no. of kids born in 2000 (year of dragon) is 54000, which is 6000 more than those in 1999.  After 2000, the nos. per year is around 47000 to 48000.  So the competition of 2000 kids into primary schools is much higher.

Heard that their interview will take place until Mar 11 and therefore the confirmation letters will be sent by Mar 15.

They will have only 75 seats (already adding one class, 25 seats) while there are over 200 applicants.

Just for information of you mums, my son's cousin studied in Phoenix in p1 and ESF in p2. She said the main difference, other than nationalities of its classmates, is expereince of teachers. Teachers in Phoenix is greener than Beacon Hill.

Besides, at his time there are some students from the closed Canada XX intern schools, who are not very good students.

2000年比99年人數只多了約3000人, 而這3000人又不是全選國際學校的, 為何今年國際學校學位嚴重不足, 那只能證明家長已對香港本土教育制度極度不滿. 究竟政府知道嗎?唉!
