We went to the SH Victoria Kindergarten's summer camp yesterday. My son told me he did not want to go back to Fortune anymore. He would like to go to Victoria. I asked him why and he told me there're lots of games in there...Success marketing leh...

Welcome back! How's your trip in Korea? Let's gather after you've settled down.  My son has started his first day school in Si Nan, first time to this campus and his classroom is big and clean (better than the previous one) Also with an outdoor garden & playground.  They have newly renovated so it looks very good.  He only spent 3 hours there today but cried 3 times - because of toys.

My ayi did not show-up today, I thought she is just like the ex-ayi, get paid and ran away.  (we paid her last Friday) My mom called me in the afternoon and told me that my 2 watches were missing.  She searched all over my room and can't find them.  I called the employment agent and they are useless - said they don't have her tel. no. because she does not have a phone at home etc.. I asked, "DO YOU WANT ME TO CALL POLICE!"  He said, "let me discuss with people in the office & call you back."  Then, I did not hear from him.  After 2 hours, I called them again and the one answered the phone said, "He is not feeling very well and go home."    The good thing is, my mom finally found my watches (I forgot that I hide them somewhere long ago) The ayi show-up at 6:00 pm, claiming that she went to hospital with who and who. My mom asked her why not giving us a call, she said she does not have our phone no - liar, I am sure she has our tel. no.

I suspect that she went somewhere this morning for a trial job.  Anyway, I'm very disappointed with the employment agent and for sure will look for another agent.  I am not going to call them, and see WHEN they will call me back.

My Korea trip is just like a full-time "Ah 4" and "Camera Man" of my husband and daughter.  Korea is still a boring place to go (my feeling is same as 10 years before when I visited the country).  No more Korea trip......

Oh, your son's school sounds great !!  Hope he enjoys studying/playing in that school and you don't have to worry about.

You have another ayi problem again?  That's why I prefer employing an ayi who is being referred.  My new ayi is quite good (especially in cleaning clothes).  Without other alternative (as I was in Hong Kong for two months), I have given my keys to her.  Luckily, I didn't find anything missed /lost.   Of course, she has her weakness, but I think I can tolerate.  For your ayi case, will you consider to change the agent and ayi as well?

Will call for gathering / attend gathering after I have settled down.  Hope to see you soon.

I have the similar ah-yi problem. My maid has worked for me for 4mth +. She said she would take her kids back to home and see the dentist at her home town. I gave her $200 for the travel cost and won't deduct her salary. However, friend's maid told me that my maid had found a $900 5-day work, while I pay her $850 for 6 days work (but always 5 to 5.5 days working), but not sure she started the work or not.

Anyway, she told me she would be back within a wk. If I do not see her on next Monday, I will find another one. I am re-consider to find a foreign maid instead.

You want to find a Filipino?  I talked to many people these days, they all recommend me to look at the ad from Citysuper as most with ex-employer's recommendation. I will go down and take a look during lunch hour. I found many Filipino maids putting ad in Citysuper.

I can't imagine that employment agent still not calling back after I told them the ayi ran away with my 2 watches.  Don't expect they will do anything if something really happen.

2 kids make me go crazy. I am exhausted without ah-yi. I hire the maid from 7:30 to 4:30 and I find that I am still very busy. I have no rest from 4:30 till mid-night. Kids won't go sleeping till 9pm and 10pm. As I am the person who don't trust the local maid, hiring a foreign maid would be a good alternative option.

Last weekend, two of my sisters came to visit me (in fact...for Misaki). They brought me alot of stuff e.g. Misaki's clothes; medicine; formula milk; cosmetics; water filter. I felt sorry that I couldn't take them to have sight seeing, as the weather was bad, also it was not convenience to go far away with Misaki. But, they enjoyed so much to play with both my little doggy and Misaki at home. The last day, I took them to Sogo for Yum Cha, they liked the dim sum there so much!

Regarding the Filipino maid, my friend now is hiring one Filipino who works for her everyday. She appreciates that maid so much as she is really effective on housework. But, 一分錢一分"貨", the wage is quite high as compare with the local ayi. She paid her RMB30/hour, and works 4 hrs a day. My friend also found the ads from City Supermarket, I think you are easy to find one if you really need.

My son has a very funny story, he has started school for 3 days.  Last night, he said, "Why everyone said I'm 老外.  All boys and girls said I'm 老外."  I said, "Who said that?"  He said, "everybody in the school and I cried."  Then he asked, "What is 老外?"  Actually I don't know how to explain to him because he does not know what's the difference between Chinese & foreigners. I tell him 老外 is for someone who is smart & handsome.  He said, "NO, 老外 is old, I am not old. 老外 is old and ugly."   I don't know why he looks more and more like 老外 these days.

I'm lucky that he loves going to school, teacher gives us a daily report and he is willing to sleep & eat (that's what my concerns) He refused to nap during summer holiday and I don't expect he will sleep in school, so I'm glad to hear that he sleeps there.

I've never know that there are PT Filipino maids in SH! Where do they live and how can they get the Chinese Visa? Strange! RMB30/hr.....'better than to rob'....hee hee

How's the diet of Misaki now? Insterested on eating?

Remeber where Monica lives? We visit their Phase II today. It costs RMB8million+/villa which is around RMB27,000/sq m....Of course, the environment is very good.

I was also surprised to hear that my friend is able to find a PT Filipino maid. She didn't ask her abt Visa issue, but the maid has told her that there is one company who offers them living, of course the maid need to pay certain money. Misaki is now very very naughty, she likes sucking her toes and thumbs with great fun, but doctor advised not to let her do so, as it may affect her toothing. So, I have to "牛咁眼" keep eyes on her all the time! I currently gives her  banana, apple and pear mud to her, and sometimes mix with rice cereal, unexpectedly, she crazy loves it. Time goes fast, she soon will be 6-mth olds la! I have to create some receipt to her later. Any suggestion?
