Thanks for the info.   My daughter will be P3 this Sep, I hope the new campus will be ready 3 years later.   One of my friends does not like either Shatin College or Yat Sun, she may move to HK side which has more choices with better reputation.  I doubt if it's really necessary?!

I got this information from ICS parent's web-site co'z my elder daughter is going to G7 this Sept.  She has studied in this school for a few years!

For my personal opinion, I find it's quite a good school and the children are quite friendly and rare bad behavior.  Surely, there are many inter'l school in HK side.  Maybe their standard is even higher than ICS, their school fee is far expensive than ICS as well!!!    The most important is how they teach their students personality and behavior in a good mortal, like our God!  One of my daughter's classmate, she's living in Mid-Level before and her dad was also working in HK side.  Their family even moved to Shatin to live, just because ICS primay section was in Shatin!     At least, my daughter refused to change to SJS and SC both.

Sorry for misleading you.  Actually, my daughter is going to be P3 in another int'l school (JIS).   We may apply ICS secondary school for her when she completes P6.

I don't know whether that's what you want?  ICS runs American stream.  Right now, they have two campus in different places.  In Shatin campus, there are kinder (R1, R2 and Pre-1) and primary section (G1-G5).  In Kowloon campus, they have middle (G6-G8) and high school (G9-G12).  Probably in 2007, they'll have their new own school (from R1-G12) in Shatin area.

Their Prep-1 is now grouped under Elementary, not kindergarten.

Yes, the kid can automatically go to P.1 after Prep 1, unless his/her behavior/academic result is very far from standard.

The land and funding grant will be subject to the final approval of Finance Committee of LEGCO, as far as I know, it's not a pledge that HKSAR Govt must grant the land & $ to ISC

The grant was approved by the Finance Committee in the meeting held on 24.6.2005.  They will have the break ground ceremony in the coming September.

So I feel very surprise, EMB has stopped all the new school construction, close down many local primary schools, many devoted teachers has lost their jobs and their contracts were not renewed. How come they grant the land & $ to such a school. The Office of Ombudsman should have a close watching on the EMB on every single dollar of HK tax payers they spent.

O, my son is accepted by them for Pre Grade-1 this September, but we are not going to take the offer. I don't know about their lunch ar.

Please don't make any critical comments if we are not sure the policy of EMB.

Every year EMB will put aside an amount of money to grant to private schools.  Therefore every private school can apply for the grant and this year EMB has approved the grant to 3 or 4 private schools.  ICS is not the only one and ICS had applied for many years before the grant was approved.

Moreover the grant from EMB is conditional offer.  That means the school has to raise the same amount of money to match up with the grant.  Therefore the school has to do the fund raising and also the parents have to pay an expensive school fee before they can have a new school.
