Anyone knows about ESF Tsing Yi?

For your friend, is her daughter going to apply the P1 this year? Does she get the interview yet?

I have some suggestion to boost up your friend's daughter English besides only taking the tutorial class.

1. If she has a Phil Maid, ask her maid talk to her daughter more(English only), watch TV program and play computer program with her.

2. Only allow her daughter to watch the English TV program. Some programs are good and interesting to the kid. Likes "Nick Jr","Disney Channel", "Hi 5", "Animal Planet".

3. Let her play the computer game. Such as "Jump Start", "Disney", "Little People". :wink:

4. Browse the following URL, they have games, songs, stories for the kid.

Does the students all speak English in ESF Tsing Yi, I am afraid so many local chinese and the kids won't say English.

Yes, they all speak English at class. After school is your free choice. Actually, the Principal strongly advise the parents speak the Mother Language to the kid first, then followed by English. She always said "Don't let the 2nd language (English, if you are not the English Speaker) kills the 1st (Mother Language).

When I had my interview two years ago, the principal's assistant (a Chinese lady) told me that if I wanted my kid to pass the ESF elementary interview, I needed to make an effort to speak more english with my kid at home.
