如果無外國護照，係咪較難入國際學校

大部分IS (ps 如VSA、ISF除外)都有兩條隊，政府要求local 30% passport holder 70% 去保障expat 嘅仔女有足夠學位，local 30% 條隊其實很competitive, IS 通常小班廿幾人，每班只收7、8個local. 當然language proficiency 是min requirement.

是的，如果多local申請IS，會難入左因為只得30%位係比佢地。但現在很多新校都寧願做private school 不做international school, 就沒有這個限制。

Then is esf an international school under the same requirement of taking in 70% foreign passport holders? Cos when I applied they said having foreign passport or not does not make a difference to the priority or application.

Yes ESF also need 70% foreign passport, however there are always > 80% if not 90% foreign passport holders there in the pool, so adding an extra one will not be advantageous. At the end English proficiency is most important.

ESF does not belong to International School under the EMB's definition.  It is another set of school called ESF schools set up by an Ordinance called 'ESF Ordinance' by the HK British government.  There is no passport requirement for ESF schools although you may find lots of students having foreign passports.

我唔知係咪因為港島區，（甚至Kjs) 已經很多foreign passport holders, 令到整個Esf 也夠70%foreign passport holders . 我直接問Esf admission officer , foreign passport holders have no advantage over local passport holders. 一切跟網上list 出的priority

Really? 長知識，but I think they don't really care, because they have always more than enough foreign passport holders anyway.

There are many students that have foreign passports. I am not sure how they count those that have one foreign passport and one SAR passport. But even so, there are still many that are like my kids who have only one foreign passport and do not have SAR passport. So may be that is why a foreign passport does not seem to be helping much now.

Not sure about percentage, But QBS is the one that has more local chinese, compared to others on the island.

If you are talking about caucasians, say KJS and Shatin Junior, the percentage may be like 10% only.

教育局新規定，國際學校收生最小70%持外國passport,宜家就一定唔係只睇面試，收生一年約100位，得30個位比本地生，其實一定無咁易。

如果學校可以一出世就報, 就要盡早報名,要報多幾間, 機會自然大好多。我地都無外國護照, 屋企只講廣東話, 都有幾間學校offer。

同勁唔勁無關。只要早些做好準備, 機會自然會來。可一出世報名的有GSIS, FIS,Kellett, AISHK(入學前兩年)
