It seems the school is good if your son would like to talk more English.  May I know your son speak English or Cantonese at home.  My son attended the Enlgish Playground once a week for nearly one year.  His progress is slow.  Now he understand a little bit what the English teacher said, more than before.  However, he is reluctant to speak in English.  When the English teacher asked him questions, he only say single word, yes or no.  My son speaks Cantonese at home.  I wonder is it due to this reason.

我在家會和我的bb講英文的。但印印和我們的家人就會和她講中文。她的說話能力比同年齡的小朋友慢，有很多時都唔知她講什麼，不過她就明白我們同她講什麼。

有學者說過一個小朋友在bilingual的環境下生活，她在開頭的時候會比其他小朋友開始講野慢。有些歲多在單一言語的環境下已經講得出很多野，很清楚表達到自己的意向的。

絕對同意你的講法,小朋友在bilingual的環境下生活,開始講野是會慢的,有些什至讀nursery時也不肯講說話,因未弄清自己要講那種語言.有老師建議媽咪用一種語言同小朋友溝通先,到小朋友肯講話,才再用雙語.但可能會有我仔仔的效果.唔肯接受另一種語言.仔仔現在4.5 years old, 講同聽都好好,鍾意聽中文兒歌,唔鍾意聽英文兒歌,佢話唔知首歌唱什麼.印印同我仔仔講英語,我仔仔唔同佢講,叫佢講中文,因佢知印印識中文,我比佢淚死.

我個女的listening的ability好過speaking.....

她會講少量的中文及英文。我們有和她一齊看english story book的。快兩歲了，已經識講"a, a, a apple, b, b, b bear"

其實在bk的banner內的GC都幾好，它的phonics又平又好都是幾百元..

We speak both English & Cantonese at home.  My son watch Disney when he is 4 mths old & now, I will only let him watch English TV programme like Fimbles & Sesame Street.  The teachers said he has good oral English skill as well as listening.  I bought him the phonics programme & now he will say AAA, A is for alligator.  I think you have to give your son more exposure to English but not pushing, of course.  My son now speaks & understands more & more English after the Summer Camp.  One night, I asked him which songs did he sing in the school & he replied ABC song. He then sang the whole song to me although it's not 100% accurate.  It was amazing.....

boxhill有playgroup在sat辦的。不過就要成1,000元得四堂。一個鐘頭一堂。

我自己無買disney或times等的english materials俾我個女去學。因為我覺得我們的生活環境已經是英文估大數的。所以無什需要....

之前問過仔仔補習社的coorindator幾時可以上phonics的course,coordinator 說最細要升k2才可以讀.Coordinator說小朋友上phonics course會辛苦d,會無上playgroup咁好玩.今年仔仔升K2,已學會A-Z.所以我都準備買phonics碟,比仔仔預先聽下phonics,等佢遲些上phonics會易明d.我都想買GC果隻Phonics,問過要$3xx.不過最近發現一隻phonic碟,有workbook,價錢比GC的平.我要看看再

是呀。一定有discount的。其實在台灣都有.....

多謝報料.但最近在展銷會,GC做緊promote,價錢都要$31x.  個職員講,展銷會後,如要呢個discount價,要直接去GC office買.等我check check依家有無30%先.

Is the school good... I just know this school, as I want my girl to enter international school in the future, so I want to find some international kinder for her.  Please advise.

其實一間學校好唔好係視乎辦學的經驗及師資，boxhill係一間全新的學校，在香港無什麼reference可言，但我選它的原因係：

1)新校，環境很clean及facilities亦都很唔錯。起碼唔係溶溶爛爛先。

2)學校的負責人俾到一個很舒服的信心俾我，我先後已經去過boxhill很多次，亦打了無數的電話去查詢有關學校及幼稚園的課程，她們都很細心及詳細解釋，我真的很煩的，我試過一日打幾次電話去問 :)。當然如果她們的態度唔好，又點會吸引我游埋去呢。 :)

3)教師亦有修讀過有關childcare的課程(係唔係全部我就唔知)，我覺得都幾好。不似一些學校見你係鬼佬識講英文就請你做英文老師的學校唔同，學校比較偏重看教師的education background及childcare的知識，還有attitude等。

4)師生比例好，maximum都係1:10。但直到依家係1比少過10羅。個educational assistant都係有degree亦會講流利的英文的。

5)我見過有一些小朋友唔習慣新的環境，喊到死。我見到個負責人及她的staff都會幫手去逗下個小朋友，抱下去，同她走出個課室行行，然後再試下入番去，唔得的亦會一齊入去幫下手照顧下那些情緒激動的bb。我覺得好係因為她們唔會由得那些小朋友喊唔理她們羅。

我唔知學校教出來的學生會點樣，但起碼我個女直到這一刻都無喊過一次很大聲的，我每朝同她講話返學，就算她點眼訓都好都會立即起身，跟著就要拿個backpack。我只是知道so far我個女都幾enjoy。

其實它都有playgroup返的，你可以考慮下俾你個小朋友返下playgroup先再決定會唔會讀boxhill，因為我覺得選一間學校係很個人的事，唔係人家話好就一定適合自己的，一定要選一間儘量各方面都可以配合都自己的學校，所以你要自己親身去觀察周圍的事物及人，例如小朋友上堂係點呢，情緒係點呢，上學法式又係點呢等等，再決定它是不是一間你想你小朋友讀的學校。

I like the school after I've visited it on last Saturday.  Next problem is, I live in Sai Kung down town, since the school still help me in finding school bus, do you know any school bus comes from MOS area from Sai Kung ??
