Anyone who applied KJS received the interview letter? Most of my friends already got letters from different schools, I received from KJS too.

Dear all SJS applicants,

I called SJS this morning and was told that they would send the interview letter today (26/11) because they were busy in the school fair last friday: .  Ooh!  over 300 applicants compete for 150 seats .   My son is not a ESFTY student, so..... It seems that there are an extraordinary large number of appliants this year.  Even in KJS (the zone is not so big), as told by the school, there are many returnee applied for P1 and then some qualified applicants are re-zoned to the HK side and some are on the waiting list.

How can you get the information (over 300 applicants compete for 150 seats in SJS)?  Except SJS, do you know KS?

ESF centre just told me that 1,300 applicants complete 1,000 seats (for 10 primary schools).

The interviewer will just indicate to the parents the possibilities of their kids being accept or verbal confirmation would be given out right after the interview ?

I just quote the information from one of the mami here.  Actually, I don't know the figure If it is 1,300 compete for 1,000 seats, it seems to be better

My letter is stated that "We would like to stress the fact that a successful interview does not guarantee your child a place at Kennedy School due to the high demand for our 150 places on offer.  After the successful completion of interview your child will be placed on our waitlist and we will inform you of your progress on this waitlist."

Is the content of all letters are the same?  I heard that successful interview=get in (not on waitlist).  Am I wrong?

As My son is in KJS, mine is having a little bit different than yours: Please note that, we are over-interviewing this year due to the overwhelming number of applications received. Successful category 2 children at interviews may be allocated a place at another ESF school until a transfer is available back to KJS.

One of my friend is the same too.

我想問吓所有收到面試信的家長，你地嘅小朋友是否所有都屬於 Category 1。

有無小朋友屬於 Category 2 ，而都有份面試呢? 謝！

I also received the invitation letter for an interview from SJS.  The interview date will be on 28th Jan 2008.  

We are also invited to attend the "Information Session" that will deliver an overview of the process and details about the interview on 23rd Jan 2008.

My child shares the same interview date with yours.  My son will have his interview at 11:15 a.m., how about yours?

I will attend the "information session" so as to learn more about the interview though I already attended the information session held by ESF this summer.
