我是在website 見到寫grade 1 to 3,簡体及繁体,grade 4 or above跟AP行教簡体字。所以想問清楚。 ...
Beginning in (I think) 2011-2012, they introduced the option for both traditional and simplified Chinese. As the child moves up in grade, they will continue with the same stream, and it would be unusual for a child to switch stream. So for those entering in 2011, they would be in Grade 4 today, and if you started in traditional, you would be in traditional Grade 4, and if you started in simplified, you would be in simplified Grade 4.
The reason there was not an option for those that are older than Grade 4 currently is that the school at the time was still very small, and there were not enough students in a grade for them to offer both options. As they began to increase intake (in anticipation of the new school), they were able to offer both as the increase in the number of students in a grade made it possible for them to offer the choices.
For 2015-2016, if you are entering at Grade 5 or below, you should be offered a choice of traditional or simplified, and a choice of native and non-native stream (although I don't know if the non-native stream is available for traditional), and that choice will be carried through the entire time your child will be studying at CAIS.
If you child is entering Grade 1 next year, consider your choice wisely, as both your child and the school will be committed to it until graduation.
