細仔收到兩間offer, 自己心儀 Victoria 因為覺得中文緊要，但係又好擔心小朋友唔可以直升小一

其實Victoria 直升小一機會真係好微？

如果 decline Esf, 係咪入唔返esf小學？只係擔心如果揀咗 Victoria 但又升唔番 Victoria小一嘅話，就會變咗連入 esf 機會都無左.. 大嗰個小朋友啱啱accept 左 esf grade 1 offer, 如果細仔而家 decline 左esf, 兩年後仲可唔可以有sibling priority 收番入Esf 小學？

If your elder son will be in ESF , your younger kid will have sibling priority too.

我哋本來係interview for reserve list, 但有位，校長話基本都係睇吓小朋友嘅英文水平為主，我哋冇 priority 但有 foreign passport.

I have friend who has done the same, declined the ESF K1 offer for another kindy, while older sibling is already studying in ESF primary. The younger sibling will still be in the priority list theoretically, but the younger sibling is in K1 now, not yet time to apply for ESF primary. There is no known blacklist as far as I hear.

Yes of course. But your younger son still needs to pass the entrance assessment of ESF Y1.

yes, that's much more important as they have more expectation for Y1 applications than K1.

besides.. need to take into consideration if there is actually any vacancy in ESF Y1.. as there is a through train system.. basically all kindy will be guaranteed Y1.. the number of vacancy will be very limited.. even though you will have a sibling priority .. it's really hard to say

True.. this is why we are struggling between the two as VSA doesn’t guarantee anything

Where is your ESF catchment zone? If HKI probably still high chance because there is only 1/2 ( supposed some from Tung Chung) kinders feeding into 5 primaries.

HKI + foreign passport + sibling priority = 除非你小朋友interview時非常不合作一句野都唔肯講，否則如果佢一般學校評語和表現正常就應該冇理由入唔到。
