以下是此校吸引我的原因:
1) 師生比例最高(1:8)
2) 每班均有以英語及普通話為母語的教師
3) 重視孩子的創意
4) 重視早期教育(即0-6歲),因此1歲便可入學
5) 教學學制是IB式

咁呀,１歲後可以去試一試讀,如果覺得好,再繼續升兩歲班,覺得不中意,趁年紀細轉校還來得及.

其實京斯敦的特點好多人都認同,但係都要親自去試一試先知合不合心水,因為是普通話和英文一起,小朋友細細個學會更好.

I've heard my colleague said his son was studied at there. She said her son is very happy and loves the school very much. She hasn't found any problem so far. She rates this school very high.

Some colleagues want to try this school as well but will probably not going there due to expensive school fee (~$7000 per month).

If money is not a problam, Kingston is a good choice.

I've enrolled my daughter to the 1-year-old class (afternoon) this August, we visited the school and the children seemed really happy there, my daughter enjoyed her visit too. Teachers are friendly and care for the children.

I'm going to the class with her since I haven't started going back to work yet.

I haven't send the photos and the report yet but I think I'll take her to take the pictures tomorrow and go to the doctor as well.

My boy studied there 3 years ago.  If things haven't changed, my negative comments are as follows:

1.  The 1 year old class required a grown-up to stay with the child, which meant a lots of people in the classroom, a lots of interruption and opinion.

2.  The classroom had carpet covered.  Just imagine the mess that the children could make on it, e.g. throw-up, wee wee, spill of drinks etc.

3.  There were some small toys which were very dangerous to 1 year old.  The accompanied grown up must help to keep an eye on the children.

4.  Snack was just biscuit and water.  At times marcaroni was cooked with frozen mixed veggi.  No cheese, no egg, no bread.  The office claimed the school promoted vegetarian, but with no reason given.  Think about how much you paid them!

The only strength I buy was language: Mandarin and English, provided you were lucky enough to have good teachers.

I changed my son to Yew Chung  ITLP later.  They mainly worked on Cantonese and some English.  I paid for appro. HKD4,000 p.m. for 3 half days.  The care, food, explosure ...... it worths every penny.

Hope Kingston has improved after we left.

坊間有那間學校1歲playgroup冇家長陪同呢? 換轉讓小朋友自己上課, 家長放心嗎? 好多小朋友1歲都未識行, 佢自己可以自行上課嗎? 若認為課室細, 有否跟別的比較?? 我曾帶bb上同區的Tutor Time 及 Kingston, 後者較大

用膳及做美工地方並無地毯的, 到訪過學校都係這樣; 其餘時間都要出課室進食自備食物, 學校話以免影響其他小朋友, 因為有可涉及食物敏感問題, 我都好同意, 如果唔係人家又要再分比其他同學, 自己小朋友又唔夠; 其實仲有一位姐姐幫手清潔, 佢都好好的, 換片都有專用CHANGING CORNER

1歲小朋友好多都以舌頭探新事物, 乜都放入口, 至於玩具大小, 記憶中都係大件, 下星期番學再睇下, 有時見老師比小朋友玩PASTA, BEANS, 不過都係家長老師陪同一齊玩
每堂都有20-30分鐘playground play, 內有沙比bb玩, 我仔仔都會玩玩下放入口, 但我唔會因為咁唔比佢玩, 反而小心留意佢

小食方面, 我的小朋友最ENJOY, 種類都唔小, 冇見過你形容的情況, 我3年前帶囡番學時同現在帶仔番都係唔錯, 是否誤會

耀忠都係一所好學校, 小朋友有相若環境讀書都係一件好事

ZOETSE: 有冇參觀過學校? 選擇上課時間去睇下, 人人要求唔同, 就算我話好, 始終係按自己STANDARD去評, 隨了KINGSTON, 有無其他心水, 親身去再比較吧
老實講, 我試過好幾個PLAYGROUPS都係人家贊好, 又帶仔女去試, 結果冇乜特別, 更何況係選學校呢!

1. 比例越少, 老師便有更多時間教自己小朋友
2. 一星期3天每天有2.5小時內以兩種語言教學, 對年幼小朋友係好 INTENSIVE, 若你重視語言發展, 這一類教學更有效, 而且非一般PLAYGROUP做到, 因為其他FREQUENCY底
3. 一歲班你未必完全體會, 因小朋友年紀太小, 兩歲班開始會較多發揮, 係一長遠CONCERN
4. 你本身是否重視早期教育都好緊要, 我係支持者, 所以未夠1歲已經開始帶小朋友番PLAYGROUP, 那時太細未開始番KINGSTON, 足歲先入學, 始終覺得有家長配合會更好
5. IB式亦係一長遠CONCERN, 並非1歲班體會, 若你安排小朋友繼續上先有意思

I chose 4 days for my daughter but the school told me that since they are not going to have class for everyday at the beginning so my daughter will only go for 3 days now. Well, I think even I attend the class with her but only Aug. because Aug. I don't have lots of work in the office. However I am pregnant now so I am still thinking whether I attend or my maid. Anyway we will see eachother on 11th Aug.

From your message, I knew that your elder daugher also attended the 1 year old class in Kingston, right? Would you mind share with me which school that your daughter is studying now? As I am still wondering whether let my daugher to study 2 years in Kingston then sit for the exam for k1 or switch her into another nursery next year.
Therefore I would like the experienced mother to share the opinion.

Why do you want to swap for her? You have decided to go for local stream, haven't you? Which kindergartens do you prefer?

我想幫個仔報kingston n1 入讀sept �0４，但kingston說我個仔2002年11月16日出世，不夠年齡，kingston n1必須於oct 31前滿2歲，只差16日也不肯收他，要他讀playgroup until next year　９月才可讀ｎ１. 各位媽咪，點算好呢？

咁o既情況, 我諗學校只係比妳囝囝讀一歲班; 8月已經開學!!
如果係因為語言, 可以考慮tutor time, hkps, anfield;
唔介意冇putonghua就去耀中!!
如果係想讀國際, 唔介意有冇中文, 可以選esf或其他國際學校; 指定要eng+pth就要入讀kcc一歲班, 再升上去喇, 耀中要小學先有!!

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I am thinking about switching her back to local stream from K1. Up to right now, I still didn't decide which school I will let her in. As my husband said it is not necessary for her to study at international school since we are living in HK. Just in case, if she is not get used with the local stream, then we still can change her back to international, however if we did the opposite way, then there is no way out, she has to keep on with the international one. The only thing that I am concerning now is my daughter cannot understand Cantonese, if I let her finish 2 years with Kingston, I am afraid she will have problem during the interview for enter the local stream.

Any parents can share the experience with me, especilly the one who studied in Kingston before but now studying in local stream. Which school that your baby is now studing? Thanks.

謝謝你的寶貴意見。我希望我個仔可以入讀esf 上環k1 next year(05). 聽聞讀完kingston 或 anfield n1入esf 的機會大d，anfield 比 kingston 貴，仲有我打電話去問anfield details, 接電話個女人態度極差，令我對anfield有點抗拒。

聽聞讀完朗思再申請入讀esf 的學生有9成入到，是嗎？
