I read a few comments that say every year Kellett sends letters to the first 300 families on the waitlist requesting school report and reference letter. Does that mean the first 300 will definitely get a space under the assumption that many will decline the offer?

this year 400. so you are high chance, in the meantime there are many new school you can choose, or may be it mean getting more difficult to attract new childs.?

Thanks. I am looking into more than one school which is obviously the norm.

Anyone has insight on the observation session for reception?

they take the kids to playground without parents. so you may prepare your little one able to leave you to stranger without any problem which is fine.

by the way, they are starting to call for observation early Dec. how is yours?

I suspect (and actually wish) we are not among the first batch of offer due to our position in the waitlist.

We may prefer another better (just my preference) school instead e.g. FIS.

I dun know yet. I tried to call the current school, but no one picking up the call. Seems their will be quite a few ppl receive the same email.

Would you mind sharing why you prefer FIS over Kellett?
Coz we've got an offer from FIS and at the same time received email from Kellett requesting us to submit school report

by the way, i am talking about Reception Class

Mainly location. both (actually most of the IS in HK) are good school, track record, nice balanced mix. except for the cost, i will recommend IS if friends ask my recommendation.
it may be nothing lose to submit school report to Kellett.
