Hi everyone, my son was born on June 2016 and I would like to apply for the Malvern pre-school PN class (full day) later this year, would be grateful if any parents who have got offers from the school could shed light on admission process.

1) there was an another post saying that one parent suspected her kid was in the waiting list because he/ she is a "small B". Wonder if any of you guys have small B yet still got an offer?

2) if my kid attends the PN class, does He needs to attend interview for K1?

That's my situation:
I applied for AM class. My daughter had an observation session (a mild interview i woudl say). The school rang me up, wana have a better understanding regarding our language background at home. During the conversation, I said I would happily go for a full-day school if it was available, and she noted it.

on the next day, I got a full-day class offer. It seems that there is a a better chance to get in full day class.

hope my reply wouldn't be too late.

she is born in Jan.

the observation was in a big room, with alot of toys (puzzles, animals, blocks etc. just like a playgroup). Parents can warm up with your child there for 15 mins or so, then one teacher would come up and start playing with the child, asking simple question like "how old are you" "how did you get here", and do relatively simple tasks like "Could you please pass me the green block please". Parents could sit next to the child.

the head teacher/mistress would have a brief talk with the parents. questions like why you are interested in Malvern etc.

I think the entire session is friendly and not harsh at all.
