My child has been studying in KCIS for few years. The Chinese curriculum and the teaching strategies KCIS adpoted is 90 % similar to local school. As students are exposed to Mandarin everyday, they are able to structure correct sentences with limited vocabulary. Besides , they are using the same series of Chinese text books as in local schools. Of course , some chapters are trimmed.
For English , their skills of speaking , listening , reading and writing is , generally speaking , 4 grades better than average local schools. However , their standard is comparatively lower than those in EFS since more students in EFS use English as their first language.
