This seems not to be too much a problem for RC as they don't restrict students to catchment areas and they have school buses going to a lot places, and they start school at 9 am.  So it is quite convenient and also no need to get up too early.

One more question...If you kid is studying in local Kindergarten before attending to RC, do you think the standard of P1 of RC is lower than local K3 standard.  Will the kid feel they are repeating the course material in P1?

In the beginning, the standards of the local school may seems to be higer than IS.. but over the years, it seems that those from IS schools seems to be able to "survive" better if they go to universities.. This is my personal opinion.

P1 of RC equals local K3, I believe standard of English is much higher.  Kids who have finished K3 normally enter P2 of RC, not P1.

My son is in K2 now and he is learning phonics in school. They have learnt the letter sounds and already doing some blending ( for 3-4 letter words). I read the information from the RC website, P1 student is learning letter sound as well ( not sure about blending ).

What is the chance of getting into RC if we are not applying from P1 ( i.e. if my son finishes K3 in local school and apply P2)
