Agree with Darth.

我自己的兩個仔女就係讀高小,他們都是由幼稚園讀到現在.

我唔覺得耀中是鑽＄,他們的學費是頗貴,是因為他們完全沒有政府的資助.
他們外籍學生的比例少.是因為他們中文課程的比例都幾重,所以會嚇怕一些完全沒有中文底子的老外報讀.
他們的外籍老師是和學校每兩年簽約一次的,所以我未見過只教一兩個月的老師.
我知道耀中很多家長都是將家中所有的小朋友都送去耀中,如果耀中真是咁唔掂的話,d家長都唔會俾個弟弟或妹妹再入去讀啦!

The problem is how much is the school fee of Yew XXX?

I heard that it was 10K a month. Do you really think it worth the price. It is even more expensive than Oxford?!

esf 一直都做得好好，不過唔會易入。
大部份學生由 p1 就開始讀，想插班唔係咁易。

Since it is the most expensive kindergarten in Hong Kong, I think there must be something different? What is that "something"? Can anyone share?

I just personally think that it is not easy to share what I think here in this IS board of BK.  Sometimes you will end up being attacked by so many people representing one particular school and sometimes parents may feel like being lectured.  I think there are many times discussions end up being so unpleasant.  It is just that their ways of presenting is a bit too tough.  I think we all need to be more...indirect.  Any parents feel related?
Just my personal view...don't attack me..because I have nothing to say no more.

如果想清楚耀中的教學理念,他們定期舉辦的課程簡報會會有幫助.

After looking at the school website for curiosity, the school fee for kindergarten is in line with many other international schools. Therefore, to be fair, it is just a matter of choice and taste for this kindergarten.

As I understood from their intro sessions (primary and secondary), Yew Chung's value is that they can train up kids (not just talking about kinder, but referring to education from kinder upto secondary) with high bilingual proficiency (taking IB Diploma paper A - first language in both English and Chinese) and internationalization.  For other IS, we usually can get high proficiency in English only (IB paper A for English but paper B only for Chinese).

Besides, as I see, their education resources for students are relatively more than that in other IS as they have very small size class, substantial consultancy services for kids, teens, overseas studies, careers etc etc.

If you attend their intro sessions, you will see how much resources are used and thus understand better why they charge so much.  But I am not sure about students' academic results.

Whether it worths the money or not is really 見仁見智.  Their parents are usually very rich and can afford it.

I know that some IS schools have got Chinese lesson too. Can any parents with kids studing in IS schools share how the teachers teach Chinese. Are the kids need to recite a lot of poems and articles to solid their Chinese foundation. This is the method used by most local schools.

Dear moms,

International schools or local schools will NOT make your child a genius or "naughty".  The schooling is only ONE part of a child's education.  Your child spends at most 8 hours at school but the rest of the 16 hours are NOT at school.  Parenets also need to take an active role in educating your child.  Letting your child enrol into the "best" schools doesn't complete your parenting job.  We've got more to do.
I've studied in both brand 1 local schools in HK and No.1 Canadian schools.  There are some difference.  The international schools are better.  But a good parents will make the difference even more.

Shower yours kids with lots of love.  Enjoy every moment with your child.
