Dear Blythe_miki,
For the Reception class interview, it is a group interview. 4-6 children in a group and taken by one teacher to a classroom. Parents are waiting outside in the playround. When the child enter into a classroom, they will listen a story. And afterward, they need to answer a few questions about the story. But it is a competition between the children and need to raise up their hand as fast as possible.
After that, each child will take to another place to test the ability e.g writing their name, recognising something (sorry I forget) and answer some questions. They focus on how much the children will participate, take an active role, pay attention, follow instruction, discipline and of course the English ability.
Each year they will admit 50 children and around 10-15% is Chinese.
This school has a list of priority, they will admit those are siblings, westerner and holding French Passport.
For my daughter, she is come from a Blingual Kindergarten in Kowloon Tong. And for her classmates some are come from Woodland School. |
