知唔知Delia School of Canada 好唔好?

我仔仔十月初會從加拿大返香港讀書，佢讀grade 5，今日問過CAIS full左，Delia九龍塘校社就仲有位，請問有冇媽咪知道e間學校好唔好?

仲有除左Delia同加拿大國際學校, 有邊d國際學校係加拿大制??

Canadian system IS in HK:
CAIS (Christian Alliance IS), Delia, Canadian IS, and Think International Primary at Kowloon Tong.

Delia IS has a large main campus at Tai Koo Shing from Grade 1 to 12, and a small campus at Kowloon Tong from Grade 1 to 5.

The students of Delia are mainly Asians, such as Japanese and Korean.  So English of them are not so good as native English kids.  They have small class, and has ESL courses to help kids to learn better English.

CAIS takes more native English speaking kids who come back from US and Canada, who maybe Asians or Chinese (ABC).  Besides, it is more Christian-oriented. So the 2 schools have different profile.

Canadian IS seems to be the most "Canadian" school in HK, it is not easy to get a seat there.

Think International Primary is a newer Canadian system IS, they have small class, students are mostly local HK kids.

Thanks for your info. CAIS is actually my first choice. Too bad their grade 5 is full. Maybe I'll call them again to see if they can put my son on their waiting list.

Thanks for your detailed information.

May I know how these statistics are gathered, especially Delia accept more Asians while CAIS takes more native English speaking kids?

Is it because the admission of Delia is easier than CAIS?

Why more native English speakers choose CAIS rather than Delia?

The students info. are obtained through the school office when I visited them.  I don't have statistics figures.  If you want to understand more, the best thing is to visit the school and observe the behaviour of the students.

If you want to know why, maybe you should ask parents of kids studying in those schools.  I guess that Delia accepts more Japanese or so because their main campus is at Tai Koo Shing, where a lot of Japanese expats live.

For CAIS, they don't have ESL program to help kids to improve English, while Delia has.  So obviously if English of the kids is not good enough, they cannot be accepted into CAIS or they won't choose CAIS.  Does this make sense?
