My child is applying for year 7 and would like seek any advice on the areas that would be covered for Math and English respectively. My child study in local school now and I am worrying that there is difference in the syllabus between local and international school while types of questions asked might be rather different. Any advise would be appreciated.

Are you applying Year 7 for 2020 intake?
As far as I know the first round of assessment had already finished on last Saturday.

The kids will go into a classroom by themselves in a group of 8. They will be playing at different sites they choose and teachers will come and chat with them. Then they will be brought down to playground to play and then dismissed from there. Parents don’t need to get interviewed. The whole session lasts 40min and there is nothing academic or things to prepare.
A week before the formal assessment, a 10min “ trial session”will be arranged to let the child get familiar with the setting. It’s very well organised.
