JIS allows you to choose Japanese or Chinese.

Thanks All. I ask this question because my girl has dyslexia in Chinese. She is struggling in Chinese now. We don't want to send her aboard at this age. So just want to know if there is any school can accommodate this. She is learning French now, I just wondering if she can sit for English and French in IGCSE and IB instead of Chinese

But the Chinese taught as second language in IS is a different thing, you may still give it a try before you totally drop it. Otherwise yes you can take french/Spanish/ german for higher exams instead of Chinese.

我仔仔都有同一問題，之前讀英小直資，其他科好好唯有中文完全跟唔上，仲越讀越討厭中文。
轉IS之後，中文讀native班，雖然同主流中文程度接近但無壓力，可以慢慢學，如果再跟唔上native可以轉non native class. 幾年來慢慢學，有返信心，而家已經去返一般正常水平。

That's very encouraging! Does your child write Chinese? How old is he now? I think it will be difficult for boys to learn the Chinese characters, they are too hard...
