I have children in ESF primary in HK Island. Of course I like the school they are currently attending, but if I were given the offer from VSA, I would go for VSA, mainly because of more opportunity to learn better Chinese. I have friends with children at VSA, I am very impressed with the works they have done. Both also IB schools, but VSA seemed to have done "more" (I am not trying to quantify, and I am not a fan of homework load as well). What I see is more "structured curriculum" delivered by VSA (you got to know IB is NOT a curriculum). ESF school, based on my own experience, unless your child is self motivated and you monitor closely, they are likely to play through the years, they don't have lots of "obligation".
