Re: any advice on anfield kindergarten, please?
cherylmum,
thanks again.
as i read through your post-up in other thread,
i've found that you are a very good & hardworking mother.
cos' we've got only one kid, so we've no experience at all in schools selection/application.
it's always a dilemma between local schools and international schools.
afterall, i do hope my girl wll have a happy childhood.
with an upbringing in local traditional girl's school myself, i understand the advantage and feeling under a strict and disciplined teaching environment.
but it seems like during my old days, parents are not that "eager", at least in primary session; and the pressure for both parents and kids are not that great.
i really would rather treasure the weekend time with my kid to enjoy family life instead of bumping around to attend tons of extra-curriculum courses, in order to accumlate certificates;
or to gang up the parents to get past papers for exams/ interiews.
of course, many people will say that we should judge from the character of the kid, but here is my query in general:
- how much can really be told at the age of two?
an age at which we have to make the decision of her stream in the future?
- for kids, relaxed and playful environment will always be welcomed. then, what criteria can we based on to select the international schools?
many thanks again.
