Re: Any international school (secondary) will accept children from local primary

Pianoma,
"he doesn't fit the type of education. He's quite intelligent"
As you said, you son is a clever boy, and why you think he doesn't fit the local school education, but international ?
Because my girl is also a very clever girl, I've put her in the int'l school. I'm still not sure if I have done the right thing. Her kindy principal said she will fit both int'l and local school.
Agree. Because of fierce competition and the need of survival, most of the so-called "local primary schools" have transformed themselves. Regarding competition, I heard that 聖方濟各 lost 1/4 of its P.2 students to new DBS this year despite the fact that they have changed quite a lot in the past few years. Bear in mind that means they lost 1/4 of their income, at least for this particular grade.
We must admit that there're still "traditional" schools that keep forcing their students studying textbooks one grade upper than their actual one...but some parents love it (not their kids though).
On the other hand, there's no guarantee that int'l schools must be operated in a "non-local" manner. It depends on its resource and there're miles of difference between the good and the not-so-good. 一分錢一分貨 : Compare HKIS with SRIS and you'll see what I mean. |
