Any interview training for Kindergarten?

我的仔仔3歲半, 巳經讀緊Starters Lower Kindergarten, 想改讀CDNIS, 最近兩次面試都因為太驚哭鬧而被淘汰:cry:
請問:
1)有冇家長可以發表心得怎樣能令小朋友interview唔喊?
2)是否有interview training course for IS Kindergarten?

Thanks CherylMum,

Is your daughter studying there.  How do u think of this school?

I also showed him around before the interview and read him story books to let him stay relax.  He also joined the summer class in last year.  Looks like the school did not bring him good memory.

I think the most difficult thing for him (and for me) is that I have to leave him alone in the classroom.  He bursted into tears at this point when he knew that I have to leave him alone.

Do u mind to share why do u choose this school for yr son? I am going to have an interview (for pre-reception class)with my kid very soon in CDNIS as well. do u apply reception class for yr son? I have a friend who has a son currently studying there. He applied for his son very late, approx. June, 04 and his son was accepted for the reception class. Actually, he missed the official date for application and got the chance for intrview becoz somebody has withdrawn. His son is doing very well in the school now. In fact, I think CDNIS is quite good that at least they offer second chance for those crying kids. may i know did the school management tell you the reasons why he was failed?

Hi gogocat, Just because he cried ! So that's why I request for parents help.

This school is near to me, and there is Mandarin classes, and it's not too expensive comparing to other IS.

Cherylmum, I envy you that your daughter got accepted.  Is your daughter behaved very well during interview?  

Somebody say I should always bring the child outside to get along with different people and different environment.  Do you mum think this is helpful?  Any better ways?

Then, when are you going to have another chance of interview in CDNIS?
Actaully, What i could think of are what you have already done, eg. playing around b4 interview, joining the summer class... My friend did join the summer class there as well b4 his son got accepted by the school. He told me that his son is not very talkative (both parents talk to him in Cantonese, he could only learn English from his maid) but he is definitely a very cheerful kid. He didnt cry during the interview.I believe it is more difficult to get a place there this year for reception class (4 yrs) coz the school started to have pre-reception class last year. Hopefully, the school could have more tolerence on my daughter coz she is only 25 months old when she has the interview later on. Btw, when do u know the result after the interview? Do u have any other IS as your back-up?

I believe pre-reception is much easier.  It would be better if you bring your daughter earlier there b4 the interview so that she has enough time to get familiar with the environment.

My son has no more chance because he cried twice, and that's why I am so worried with his future interview.

He is studying in Starters School which is 100% international and English speaking.  He is going to continue the upper kinder there.

Sorry, I am new to this forum as my baby is just a few months old, but I would like to have some idea for his future education........May I ask:
What's mean by CDNIS? And what's mean by IB system?
