how about summer english camp in overseas / madarin summer course in China / theme tours like soccer camp, harry potter etc
Both EF and HK Study Tours Centre (ie Hok Luen) are the biggest, well kown and reputable companies for these.  They have already started promoting their courses and some students have even enrolled.  I used to work in this area before then I became a full time mother so I know.

I'll let my son to join different sports camp, swimming, biking etc. Last year I let my son to join the playgroup at YMCA, he didn't like it becasue it's like going to summer school. He wanted to go outdoor and have fun!

Anyone can share any good activities.....please?

EF is the name of the company, a swedish educational and languages provider, they have language schools all over the world, 40 years of history.  office is on 23/F, shell tower, times square, causeway bay.  go to the website and have a look

There are a summer program in the Hong Kong International School.  You may want to check it out.  Apart from it, YMCA is other choice.  Other that then, I would like to ask if there is any other suggestion?  My son is 11 year-old.  I want him to spend a wonderful summer with interesting activities plus I want him to learn Chinese.  He cannot read or write any.Thanks!!

I am not patience enough and I am pretty sure I would "fight" with him eventually.  It's better to maintain the "close & friendly" relationship with him.  He is too lazy and I think a 3rd party with teaching experience can "manage" him well.

For outdoor activities, can check on internet "Treasure Island Lantau", it offers day camp for 5-7, and stayover for older ones.  I heard that it is fun and safe, teachers are English native speakers, a challenge for our little ones, my daughter's mate can take care himself (wipe wipe after poop)

My Michelle went to science workshop last summer which teached them to learn through experiments, it organised field trip, too.  Teachers are great, but very costly.

This is great to know the outdoor activities, I will consider putting my son into one of the camps.
