Re: kingstom Int'l School
My daughter is 2 year old and is studying in 1 year old class. I get known to this school from my friends. Over ten children of my friends are studying in this school (From 1yr old class to Primary 3). They all give me good comment about this school, so I send my daughter there. We all buy Kingston's language policy, IB, and low teacher-to-student ratio. I go to school with her eveyday.( 1 yr old class student must be accompanied by an adult) I think the teachers are mature, experienced and are very kind to children. They are not too loose to the students and they try to teach them rules , self-care, independency and courtesy. My daughter likes teachers very much and thus she likes to communicate with them in English and Mandarin. (My family speaks cantonese at home.)
Even in 1 yr old class, there is well-structured teaching theme. I'm satisfied with the school and I plan to let my daughter studying there at least during the kindergarten period.
Unlike those famous traditional kindergarten (St. Catherine and Kentville), Kingston is a relatively small-scale school. There are only 5 classes(am+pm) per year and there are only sixteen students in each class. As far as I know, the school is really full but they receicve more and more enquiry about applications. This school is getting more and more popular. So I am not surprised that they start to chose students. Actually, the school assesses the student's different ability (English and Mandarin skill, social , thinking and self-management skill) to see whether the student is competent for promotion. My friends (whose child studying in P3) told me that there were small number of students would not be offerred a place for promotion every year. |
