我想幫BB報06年K2,幾時入紙申請?interview時注意D乜?
要D乜嘢申請資格?間學校好唔好,會唔會太stress?

CAIS only starts from K3 to Grade 12, no K2.
I'm planning to apply K3 in 2007. my son will go to K1 next month. How about yours?
I know CAIS is Canadian system, are you planning to send your BB to study oversea soon or later? let's share.

我BB其實而家讀緊預備班，本來今年可以讀K1(佢12月出世，今年讀便是全班最細嗰個)，但佢講嘢唔係好掂，去interview實肥佬，所以讀住預備班先。依你所講，如CAIS starts from K3，我BB應該08年先讀了，到時問你攞資料吖！
其實我想遲D送佢去英國讀(my husband is GS)，讀CAIS會唔會影響？or u have any other suggestions about others international schools？(We live in Kwuntong)

my son was born in Dec and will be 全班最細嗰個 in K1 this year. I choose CAIS because I will send him to Canada when he is in grade 3. I don't have any idea about other international schools at this moment. I didn't start to do any research yet. Sure we can share when I have more information.

Can I ask if CAIS really start from K3 (the minimum age?) ? How come some said it starts from K2?When should I enrol for my kid? 1 year in advance?

CAIS only starts from K3, my child is 5 years old and was accepted last week, there are 2 classes in K3, one in AM session and the other in PM session.

They did have K2 but years ago.Now they just have
K3.How old is your kid?If he/she was borned in 2001,you should apply it now for K3 entry in Sept 06'.Usually there is no application deadline for int'l
school but you should apply as early as possible to
make sure you have a chance for interview

Is it difficult to get a place at Grade 1 of CAIS if my son is not their kindergarten's student? Anyone knows?

I think it depends on how many kindergarten students will stay.I know there are 2 classes in Grade
1 this year so the chance is still there.Was your kid

yes, he's born in Dec 2000.  I also want to know if CAIS is a very religious school.  Will that be a problem if we are not christian.  Because I saw SCMP's comments:
"bible-based education".  Anyone knows what does that mean?

They have the bible lesson every day.

I think Whether is Christian or not is not an important
issue.The most important is the kid's English ability.

Yes, my daughter talk about Jesus to us everyday.  Although we have no religious background, seems she is interest in it and ask me to buy her a bible as she wants to know more about it.

One day, she talked to me:  Mummy,  you know, Jesus died but he raise up after 3 day.

The other day she said:  If somebody don't know Jesus, what a pit.

Actually, I am very impressed by their teaching method, only a week and my daughter know more about Jesus.

I have some questions about applying for CAIS. Please share.

Is it the school will arrange an interview 1 year before the start of K3? Or just a few months before?

Do you think I can request the school to give him an interview earlier so that I can know the admission result early?

Is it an individual interview? What about parents? Any interviews for parents?

If my kid can go to CAIS to do K3, does it mean that my kid can be successfully promoted to grade 1 in the future?

I want to know why the school use the curriculum of Saskatchewan? Does it mean kids graduate from high school can only go to Canada?
