GSIS好難入?

I heard they are very hard to get in from numerous parents (whose children failed the admission test).

Are there any parents that have children attending this school ?  Could you please share your experience ?

好似張學友個女都係讀呢間,唔知係咪明星個女易入啲呢?

If that is the case, what preschool did his daughter go ?  The school emphasized alot on the english language fluency at time of kindergarten interview.  His daughter must be really good at english before attending GSIS.

I have also heard that GSIS is good, but one thing you might want to consider:

German is a compulsory language subject starting Primary 2 till secondary, while Mandarin is the third language subject (not likely to have every day class) after English and German.

If you think Mandarin is more important than German, you have to supplement additional Chinese/Mandarin class for your child and need to consider his/her language ability of learning so many languages at a time.

Yes, I heard that too.  Their Mandarin program is not as strong as some other international schools.

However, I heard they are every strong academically (is it true)?  I guess we have to consider the trade off between academic and Mandarin.

I am wondering how it compares to CIS and HKIS.
