Where are you planning to send your kids for University?

Dear moms,
Where are you guys planning to send your kids for University and why?  Just curious.

Hi lenglengma,

I have thought about it but not deeply, my sons are really young afterall.

If you asked me, UK and US. I also prefer some other european countries if their language proficiency is competence. Even Japan is very good too.

if financial allow me, i will send my kid to vancouver to study university. as i was there 13 years ago, and i am canadian. i think the english standard in hk local university is not high enough.

but when i interview job in hk, i find my impression to interviewer is better when they hear i live in oversea b4, studied there b4, and can speak fluent english

入到大學裏, 都不是學英文了, 學英文都是小學學la. 好多時香港的大學是用廣東話教的.....

oh yes. i agree. since this topic is for U. so i ans that

i agree english need to build by when young.

for my personal experience, i studied in local school in hk, i find my english is very poor when i study in vancouver when i was 17.

I agree also...I have never thought about letting my kids to study in local university.  Not because of the standards...it is because the kids in local U seems kinda "dead" for me.  I remember when I was in the states for university....I really enjoyed the time there, got to learn other people's cultures, other ways of life, and it was just the happiest time of my life.  I got into an U.S. university when I was only 17.  That was how I learned to be independent.  I was living by myself in a apartment....got to meet a lot of friends.  I also interviewed many of the local u students when I hired people..and seriously I really think that they were not as motivated, independent, and "sing muk" when compared to the kids who spent their years in other countries for university.
Just what I personally think.
