Will you let your kids to learn Times table 乘數表

my kid is still young and not sure whether it'll be taught at school or not.
I do have CDs on Multiplication or Times Table Songs.  I sometimes play at home.

My son liked to play a game board (Multi Math by IQbuilders), so he memorized the Times table before he entered primary school. He also liked to sing the Times table song.

why the school won't teach times table?  it's necessary to do multiplication ?!  my daughter's school started teaching basic concept of multiplication at p2 and "1", "2" and "5" times table.   I heard that they should be able to know all by P4.   As she takes abacus class every week at 天平, she knows all the times table already.   some of her classmates learnt kumon, but I like abacus much more.  i

你係唔係想話背"二二如四，二三如六"的"九因歌"？

我最初有教我仔念，不過後來念到七，冇念晒。

times table 一定會教，不過用英文教，唔係想像咁難。
同埋佢地有特別方法教乘數，佢地好詳細解釋乘數個概念，小朋友好易明。佢地亦有先後次序教，好似係教 2，5，10 先。雖然唔會好似 local school 咁 k3 就識背 "九因歌"，但係佢地真係明乘數係乜，唔係靜係"念口王"。

我以前一直都以為念 "九因歌" 先係最容易，但係而家，我先知佢地 d "英文人" 都有佢地的方法。

不過，講真，如果小朋友唔抗佢念"九因歌" ，教佢念下都好。

Does it  mean the int'l school will teach students to '背' Times Table Song in English, similar to that of "九因歌".

Dear all,

Friend of mine sent me Times Tables years ago.  She bought from Page One however I haven't seen it for some time.  It's disco-music type, rap talk the times tables from 1 to 12.


This one is more kinder song type what elf likes it and dance with it.  It's been bought from Canada last summer.


This one is quite good too that I bought from local bookstore.
