有哪些國際學校的grade1等同本地小一

I would like my boy to complete K3 first (born in 2012) before moving into international school in order to learn more Chinese.  So I deliberately applied for Quarry Bay School after they hv given out their offers to year 1.  However the waiting list is so long that I don't think we will get an offer till maybe year 4.  

Does anyone know whether there's any other international schools that starts in grade 1 which is equivalent to Hk primary 1?  So far I hv only found out the new school to be opened in Tin Hau PLKHKCA does so.

in short. NO is the answer, most IS year 1 = local K3 which you have missed the mass intake period. as you may noticed, the wait list on the popular ones may take years for waiting. Suggest you to look into new IS opening in next year or coming years for better chance.

You may try:
HKIS:  R1 = K2,  R2 = K3, G1 = Primary 1
CDNIS: Pre-Reception = K1, Reception = K2, Preparatory = K3, G1 = Primary 1
CIS: R1 = K2, R2 = K3, Y1 = Primary 1

Their age cutoff date is August 31.  Hope this helps.

CAIS, YMCA (English private school), also those IS adopting US curriculum should have the same year level as local school.

For those who were born in Sept to Dec 2012, they can apply year 1 this year for academic year 2018. It is because some IS use 31 Aug as cut off date.

Check out SIS and ISF.  Both aren't easy to get in though

As discussed with my husband we will try applying for PLK HKCA in September this year and see if we are able to get an offer.  If not then we will send our boy to a local school and wait for ESF.  In either cases:-

1) Will ESF eventually (definitely) call us for an interview? I was told that we are within 200 on waiting list, does anyone know how long we'd hv to wait?
2) If our boy is admitted to a local school in the end for early primary years then will ESF reject us after interview even if my boy meets the language requirements?
