Chinese lesson in Phoenix/Renaissance

Can any mum tell me about Chinese lesson for G2 and G3 in Phoenix/Renaissance?

Do the students have Chinese homeworks and dictation?

My son is studying at P4.  He has Chinese dictation approximately once every 3 weeks.  He has Chinese homework such as Chinese exercise book, sometimes writing.  He brings home a book two days in a role this week to read at home.  For English and Maths, he handles pretty well by himself but for Chinese, he is not confident and we have to do it together.

It is really hard to compare.  I know before I send him to an international school that his Chinese will not be as good as a local student.  With 80% of his school time in English and 20% in Chinese, how well could you expect his Chinese would be.

Yes, he can read (in Putonghua) and write simple sentence.
