回覆 annie40 12-9-25 12:09: Just knew a LPC boy cheating on the selection of candidates on kind of community project. I feel very disappointed. And my professor friend (medical department) told that in his expereince the very smart kids from ESF are overall better than those from LPC. In fact he was surprised that a LPC boy with full 45 scores was not able to speak fluent English during interview. It plants me the doublt of having over-estimated UWC.

回覆 ANChan59 12-9-25 15:50: I know a HKU professor who was HK 10A會考狀元，studied at LPC and got scholarship to Princeton and then Harvard PhD. He also complained the current students standard dropped a lot. He also involves in Challenge Day and a bit upset by the selection criteria not the same as in the past.

Current local students use the local drilling method to study IB, more academic focus instead all-rounded. We may upset LPC fans.......

My son decided not to take LPC even if he was being accepted, because he felt the interviewer is very subjective and not open-minded to consider his choices of programs and universities. Taking economics and medic must be money focus....... focus on local universities not suitable to LPC.....

I think once LPC is being exposed as one of super elite schools in HK, There would have huge group of parents and students who love to put on appropriate masks to tell they love to save the world, and then jump over others to get in. Shame.....shame.......shame............

We are individual person, you don't agree with me some time, it's absolutely normal, I made mistakes, wrong assumptions sometime..... I admitted them and apologized..... No problem to me.

I still remembered that you are the first parents to highlight the matching process instead of selection process in LPC.

May be my son only want to be a competence doctor or lawyer in HK, not the superman or spiderman.....

回覆 annie40 12-9-26 15:37: 顺带一提是UWC 的 US scholarship fund 特别多, 是专门给UWC students 的, 因而他们成绩未算好, 还是很容易有scholarship 的, 相比之下UK Oxbridge就无优惠, 结果少左学生去ＵＫ
