提升入大學的機會

學校為提升學生入名牌大學的機會，今年請了一位好有經驗的輔導員，幫學生執好d的Profile, personal statement......
阿仔將第一份PS - Medicine & Law 給輔導員謄改，自己砌緊 Economics 作 UCAS 之用。
EE 進度理想，導師評價不俗，坐B望A；TOK可能有B...... 希望最後坐2望3。
成班同學好努力，希望穩住PG，順順利利有得in心儀課程.....
CEO托朋友搵到一個好有經驗老師，幫阿仔開始操大學面試，明晚見見該老師，希望令他更好準備。

- Dear ANCHAN59, actually i was fade-out for the status of university interview. My husband got into HKU major Econ but no interview is required. (year of 1988). My fellows (year of 2003-2006) were also no interview but could admitted into Top rank university in US / Canada. Per my understanding, if the student's score is high enough, you can be accepted by the university without interview process. Am i right ?

- Yes and no, all depends.
Like HKU Economics may not need interview, but Law, BBA-Law and Medic, definitely need interview. I also heard some boys get into BBA-Law without interview due to exceptionally high PG.
For LSE no interview, but Cambridge you must go through interview.
I guess my son no need for interview in BBA-Law and BBA. Medic, Law, QFin need interview.
Well preparation is needed.

- i see ! it's case by case ~
my fellows may have exceptional high PG so most of them could get into Penn State U (Finance) / UCLA / UBC .... without interview.
The funny sharing is my fellow who got offer by UBC, she rec'd a call with short discussion then she got the place from UBC. She said it was just causal talking.

- Canada and USA use different systems, you got SAT, without IB or any AL qualifications, you still can get unconditional offers.

i understand there is different system between US, CAD /UK.... just would like to share that if the student with distinction in study they may got offer in US / CAD without interview.
My husband (sorry always mentioned my husband..... it's too much
) got offer by University of Bath (major Mechanical Engineering) also without interview request. I am NOT going to show off but just a kind sharing. I am just a small potato as well as my husband

My mechanical engineering degree also no need for interview, but my MBA & DBA needed interviews on top of good first and second degrees.

我老公....(又提又提.....
) second degree in City u 都係唔洗interview, 既有first degree (1st Hon A) 所以不用interview 佢.
.....我知都要睇咩faculty
